| The $70 million dollar reconstruction of an 8 mile U.S. 22, a 4 lane limited access expressway carrying 85,000 vehicles daily through the Lehigh Valley. Improvements included modifying 5 interchanges, adding a Collector-Distributor between 2 interchanges, reconstructing/rehabilitating 12 bridges, constructing 4 MSE retaining walls, signalization of 8 Intersections, deployment of ITS including Ramp Metering, Variable Message Signs and Highway Advisory Radio, and extensive safety updates including 26 Overhead Sign Structures, Concrete Glare Screen and Interchange Lighting.
